The Genius Switch Review: What It Is, What It Costs and Where to Buy It

Our score 3.2/5 Mixed How we score

This is our independent review of The Genius Switch, a $39 audio program sold to “activate” the whole brain in a few minutes a day. It explains what you get, what the pitch claims, what the seller’s own references actually study, what the research on brain audio shows, and how the 90-day refund works. We are not the seller, and we earn a commission if you buy through our links; our full The Genius Switch review has more detail.

✅ Pros

  • Inexpensive: a one-time $39, with nothing to swallow and nothing shipped.
  • A 90-day money-back guarantee, confirmed on ClickBank's checkout, with refunds handled through ClickBank.
  • A relaxing daily listening routine can genuinely help some people feel calmer and more focused.
  • Instant digital access.

❌ Cons

  • The written sales page does not say how long the sessions are, how many tracks there are or what kind of audio is used - it is all inside a video.
  • No published research shows that audio can switch on a link between the two halves of the brain, which are already joined by the corpus callosum.
  • The reference list has about 70 entries, many of them repeated and some of them blog posts; none tests The Genius Switch.
  • The small print says testimonials may be dramatized via digital avatars, some featuring people connected to the creators.
  • The site’s refund page is copied from a physical supplement (60 days, unopened bottles), contradicting the 90-day promise.

What The Genius Switch is

The Genius Switch is a digital audio series sold by Binaural Technologies for a one-time $39, with ClickBank as the retailer and instant access after you pay. There is nothing to swallow and nothing is shipped. Almost everything about it is explained in a sales video; the written page gives the price, the guarantee, crossed-out “regular” prices of $200, $100 and $49, and a list of references, but not how many tracks there are or what kind of audio they use. The seller’s page for affiliates describes it as an “auditory sequence” you listen to for seven minutes a day.

The ideas behind the pitch

Brain audioThe productSmall, mixed results in trials.

None of these ideas comes with a test of The Genius Switch itself. The references describe brain biology, unusual older people and a few small studies of other audio, not this program.

The pitch, in brief

The seller tells affiliates that a “Nobel Prize Winning Doctor” found “Whole Brain Activation”, when both hemispheres of the brain are connected; that modern life suppresses it, so most people use only a small percentage of their brain’s potential; that the program is endorsed by “NYC’s top neurologist”; and that its “Neural Sync Technology” fixes this in seven minutes a day.

  • Both halves connected: in a healthy brain they already are, through the corpus callosum, a band of about 200 million nerve fibres. No study shows that an audio track “switches on” that connection.
  • Using a small percentage of your brain: a long-standing myth. Brain scans show activity across the whole brain over the course of a day.
  • The doctor and the neurologist: the written page names neither, so the endorsement cannot be checked.

What the reference list actually studies

The written page lists about 70 sources, many of them repeated. Most are real, but none tests The Genius Switch:

  • Super-agers: a 2016 brain-imaging study and Harvard Health blog posts about older adults whose memory matches people decades younger, plus a popular self-help book with the same name.
  • BDNF: many reviews of brain-derived neurotrophic factor, a protein that helps brain cells grow and connect, and studies of how exercise, heat, meditation and diet affect it.
  • Brain audio and gamma: the MIT mouse study of 40 Hz light and sound, a 2024 preprint, not peer-reviewed, on gamma rhythms from electrical brain stimulation, and two small lab studies of binaural beats, one on attention and one on creativity.
  • Other sources: a NASA workshop abstract on protecting astronauts’ brains during long missions, and blog posts about meditation and ice baths.

Who is behind it

  • The seller: Binaural Technologies, which sells several brain-audio programs on ClickBank. Its support line is +1 251 501 2766 (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Eastern).
  • Success stories: the small print says user experiences “may be dramatized via digital avatars” and that some of the people featured have “a personal connection to the creators”.
  • Copied policies: the “Returns” link opens a refund policy written for a physical supplement, about unopened bottles and 60 days, and the small print asks you to keep the “original packaging” of a download.

What the research shows, at a glance

Binaural beats for attention and memoryLimited: small, mixed trials (2019 review)
40 Hz gamma stimulation for memoryEarly: mostly mouse studies with light and sound
Audio raising BDNFNo studies found
“Whole Brain Activation”Not a recognised scientific concept
The Genius Switch itselfNever tested in a published study

Gamma waves: what the research is really about

The best-known gamma research comes from MIT. In a 2019 study, mice bred to develop Alzheimer’s-like changes were exposed to flickering light and clicking sound at 40 times a second for an hour a day for a week, and showed fewer of those changes and better memory. Human studies of 40 Hz stimulation are small and still early, and they use dedicated light-and-sound devices, not a seven-minute track. Separately, a 2019 meta-analysis of binaural beats found small-to-moderate effects on memory, attention and anxiety, but the studies were small and inconsistent.

BDNF: what actually raises it

BDNF is a real and important protein for learning and memory, and the seller’s references explain why. What they do not show is any way to raise it with sound. The best-studied way is exercise: a 2015 meta-analysis found that a single bout of exercise raises BDNF in the blood, and regular exercise strengthens that effect. If BDNF is the goal, a brisk walk has far better evidence than any audio program.

Super-agers: what the study actually found

The main study the page cites, from Boston in 2016, compared “super-agers”, adults over 60 whose memory scores matched people in their twenties, with typical older adults. In the super-agers, brain networks involved in memory and attention had not thinned the way they usually do with age, and the thicker those areas were, the better their memory. It is an interesting look at how some brains age well, but it measured brain structure; nobody in it listened to audio, and it does not show that a recording can turn an ordinary brain into a super-ager’s.

When memory problems need a doctor

Brain fog and forgetfulness often have treatable causes:

  • Sleep and mood: poor sleep, sleep apnoea, stress, anxiety and depression.
  • Blood tests: low vitamin B12, thyroid problems, anaemia and high blood sugar.
  • Medicines and alcohol: sleeping pills, some allergy and bladder medicines, and heavy drinking.
  • Hearing: untreated hearing loss makes memory feel worse and is linked to later decline.

If memory problems are new, getting worse or worrying the people around you, see a doctor promptly.

What helps keep a brain sharp

Move every dayExercise raises BDNF and has the strongest evidence for brain health.
Protect your sleepSeven to nine hours, and get snoring and pauses in breathing checked.
Keep learningNew skills and social contact keep the brain engaged, as in super-agers.
Treat the risksBlood pressure, diabetes, hearing loss and smoking all matter.

If you try it

  • Volume: keep headphones at a comfortable, low volume.
  • Attention: do not listen while driving or doing anything that needs your full attention.
  • Epilepsy: if you have a seizure disorder, ask your doctor before using rhythmic or flickering audio programs.
  • Judging it: listen daily for a few weeks and decide well inside the 90-day refund window.

Is it worth $39?

As a relaxing daily listening habit, $39 with a 90-day refund is a small, low-risk spend. As a way to “activate” the whole brain, there is nothing behind it: the hemispheres are already connected, the small-percentage idea is a myth, and none of the references tests this program. Our full The Genius Switch review scores it 3.2 out of 5.

  3. Keep your receipt: the ClickBank email confirms the purchase date that starts the 90 days.

👍 It may suit you if…

  • You enjoy a short daily listening routine and see it as relaxation rather than a brain upgrade.
  • You are happy to spend $39 and use the 90-day refund if it does nothing for you.
  • You already exercise, sleep reasonably and have had any memory worries checked.

⚠️ Skip it, or ask first, if…

  • You have epilepsy or a seizure disorder and have not asked your doctor about rhythmic audio.
  • Your memory or thinking has changed noticeably: see a doctor first.
  • You want a product tested in a published trial.
  • You would listen while driving or doing anything that needs your full attention.

Questions people ask about The Genius Switch

Is this the official The Genius Switch website?

No. This is an independent review of The Genius Switch by Health and Wellness Studies, and we earn a commission on sales through our links. It is sold at geniusswitchoriginal.com through ClickBank.

What is The Genius Switch?

A downloadable audio series from Binaural Technologies, sold for a one-time $39 through ClickBank, with instant access and nothing shipped.

How long do you listen each day?

The seller tells affiliates seven minutes a day. The written sales page does not say how many tracks there are or how long each one runs.

Does The Genius Switch work?

It has never been tested in a published study. Research on brain audio in general is small and mixed, and none of the seller’s references tests this program.

Is The Genius Switch legit?

It is a real product sold through ClickBank with a 90-day refund. But the whole-brain claims have no research behind them, and the small print says success stories may be digital avatars.

What is Whole Brain Activation?

A marketing term for connecting both halves of the brain. In a healthy brain they are already connected by the corpus callosum, and no study shows audio switches that connection on.

Do we only use a small part of our brains?

No. That is a long-standing myth; brain scans show activity across the whole brain over the course of a day.

What are gamma waves?

Fast brain rhythms around 40 cycles a second. Research on 40 Hz light and sound stimulation is promising in mice but small and early in people, and uses dedicated devices.

Can audio raise BDNF?

We found no study showing that. Exercise is the best-studied way to raise BDNF.

Is The Genius Switch safe?

For most people, listening at a low volume is harmless. People with epilepsy should ask a doctor first, and nobody should listen while driving.

How much does The Genius Switch cost?

$39, a one-time payment. The crossed-out prices of $200, $100 and $49 are reference prices nobody pays. Further offers may appear after checkout; you can decline them.

Is The Genius Switch a subscription?

No. It is a one-time payment for instant access.

How does The Genius Switch refund work?

Request it through ClickBank’s order support at clkbank.com within 90 days of purchase. The seller’s Returns page is written for bottles and does not fit a download.

Is The Genius Switch on Amazon or app stores?

No. The seller does not allow it on Amazon, eBay or app stores; it is sold on its own page through ClickBank.
